چکیده
Watson-Jones(l955)wrote “. . . inexceptional cases there mayeven be forward dislocation of both forearm bones without fracture. There is one case in which there can be no doubt about it; thejoint was dissected after the limb had been amputated-but that was long ago.” This happened in 1860. Forward dislocation of both forearm bones without fracture of the olecranon is in fact extremely rare. The following case is an example of this unusual type of injury. CASE REPORT

AbsractAll perilunate fracture-dislocations combine bone avulsions, ligament disruptionand fractures in different forms. The most frequent pattern is the dorsal transscaphoidperilunate fracture-dislocation. The reported risk of missed initial diagnosisin perilunate dislocations is as high as 20%. Concerning pathomechanics of theperilunate fracture-dislocation, it should be noted that most dorsa...
متن کاملPosterior dislocation of the elbow associated with fracture of the radial head and olecranon, and with medial collateral ligament disruption: A case report
INTRODUCTION Fracture dislocations of the elbow appear extremely complex. Identification of the basic injury patterns can facilitate management. CASE PRESENTATION A 38-year-old male motor-vehicle driver who fell on his right elbow after an accident was suffering from posterior dislocation of the elbow, without coronoid fracture, and with fracture of the radial head and olecranon, and medial c...

The late revision surgery could not correct the subluxationbecause the joints were accustomed t...
متن کاملSalvage of elbow function in chronic complex elbow fracture dislocation with total elbow arthroplasty: a case report.
In patients with an elbow fracture dislocation the incidence of radial head fracture is 36%, where as coronoid process fractures occur in 13%, and olecranon fractures in 4% of patients. Combination of all these fractures with a 'terrible triad' is rarely reported in the literature. We describe a 40 year old lady involved in a polytrauma who had head injury, pnuemothorax and an open fracture dis...
متن کاملA case report of children's divergent dislocation of the elbow and review of literature

The literature has reported a total of 19 cases currently. METHODS A 10-year-old girl with divergent dislocation of the elbow was admitted in our department in November 2013. When playing basketball, her right e...
